MTD Landscape Architects welcomes urban designer Lieke Marijnissen. Lieke contributes her experience in the field of urban design and inner-city area development. She distinguishes herself through her ability to capture the dynamic character of the living environment within her designs and her attention to the soft, social dimension of urban spaces across multiple scales. At the core of her design approach always lies the history and identity of the place.
According to Lieke, a pleasant living environment begins with a green and climate-resilient design – precisely where landscape architecture and urban design come together.
Lieke obtained her Master’s degree in Urbanism from TU Delft in 2020, after which she worked at Echo Urban Design, contributing to a wide range of inner-city projects both in the Netherlands and abroad. In 2023, she earned her professional title as an urban designer through the PEP program, and since 2025, she has been part of the team at MTD Landscape Architects.
