Throughout the trip, the interplay between landscape, nature, cultural history, and design took center stage. On Ameland, we experienced the dynamic nature of the Wadden landscape, while Park Vijversburg in Leeuwarden inspired us with its remarkable blend of historic park structures, contemporary landscape architecture, art, and architecture. On the way back, at Buitenplaats Koningsweg in Arnhem, we saw how a former military site has been reintegrated into the landscape, creating space for nature, heritage, and new functions.
Beyond the landscape-related inspiration, there was plenty of time for team building, featuring cycling, a beach-based multi-sport challenge, great food, and of course drinks.
The excursion was a great success, and was filled with inspiration and good company. Many thanks to our staff association for the fantastic organization!
